Monitoring Caustic Content in Chemical Scrubbers

Monitoring Caustic Content in Chemical Scrubbers

Without online analyser caustic levels averaged at 4.81%, with analyser at 2.97% resulting in cost savings of over 200000 dollars.

In many cases process control can save money and increase quality.

Metrohm would like to present another real cost saving application for the control of chemical scrubbers.

When online analyser is controlling the chemical scrubber, the caustic amount can be controlled more precisely.

In this specific example caustic levels averaged at 4.81% without process analyser.
After Metrohm’s engineers developed the method and installed the online analyser levels were reduced to 2.97%.

This reduction of caustic amount resulted in savings of over 200 000 AUD!

Analysis time in this application is 3 minutes.
