Complete homogenisation of complex samples. Meat, fruits or grains with ease!

Complete homogenisation of complex samples. Meat, fruits or grains with ease!

The diversity of foodstuffs with their often very different product properties represents a real challenge for food testing laboratories. Before the actual analysis, the sample materials – which can vary strongly with regards to hardness and moisture – need to be homogenized and reduced to a sufficiently small particle size.

RETSCH’s GRINDOMIX knife mills are the ideal tools to meet the complex requirements of the sample preparation of food.

A new GM 200 has just been launched, including new features

  • A new touch display
  • Boost Function (14,000 rpm for a few seconds) to give extra power for homogenization of tough/sticky materials
  • Significantly improved performance: Thanks to the new 1000 W drive, the GM 200 is powerful enough even to homogenize difficult samples like tough meat with skin or fibrous plant material / spices where the knives of the current model often get stuck
  • The option to program 4 sequences in addition to 8 SOPs.
  • A QR code in the display of the new GM 200 leads the user to a web portal containing information on, e. g. recommended procedures, grinding protocols, videos, tips & tricks etc.

The model GM 200 has proven itself for the homogenisation of small sample volumes of up to 700 ml. For larger volumes RETSCH offers the GM 300 model with a grinding chamber volume of 5,000 ml.
