Powerful Process Analysers

Process analysers are very powerful tools to control various processes. They can be used in many industries like, for example, cyanide analysis, environmental monitoring, waste water, chemical plants, metal refineries, fertilizer, explosives, petrochemical, chloralkali, power, food and beverage.

Metrohm Process analysers can measure nearly any chemical species directly in a process. This seminar will help customers understand what can be done using modern Metrohm process instrumentation.

When a process analyser is in charge of the analyses, the measurement frequency is significantly higher, maximizing the process efficiency. With the help of an analyser, the process can be fine-tuned, and in the case of failures, the process can be corrected rapidly.

Depending of the application, the savings can be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars per year.

Critical particle size analysis

Particle size analysis is also a critical step during the mineral processing of raw materials, i.e. including during slurry handling processes.

While current techniques such as laser diffraction or sieve shaking provide some reliable information, they lack the capability to provide accurate characterisation information within short timeframes.

Dynamic Image Analysis or DIA as employed by Retsch Technology’s Camsizers provide continuous monitoring solutions of particles to yield results that are quick, accurate (with no assumptions made) and reproducible.

The technology has also proven to work well for slurry suspensions comprising of fine particles.

Such features allow this technology to be presented as a mine-ready solution, allowing operators and process owners to control and optimize their measurement process in real-time.

In addition, Retsch offers a wide range of crushers, grinders, sieve shakers and sample dividers for the laboratory and process environments.
